Royal Caribbean International/RCI has confirmed plans to broadcast the FIFA World Cup 2026 across its entire fleet during the tournament period from June 11th to July 19th, 2026, allowing passengers to follow the competition while at sea during the peak northern hemisphere summer season.
Matches are scheduled to be shown live throughout the company’s ships via Sport 24 Special Event Channels, with coverage available in public venues including pool decks, theatres, sports bars and entertainment lounges, in addition to in-stateroom television systems. The arrangement is intended to ensure uninterrupted access to the tournament regardless of itinerary or region of operation.
The cruise line also indicated that football-themed programming and tournament-related activities would accompany the broadcasts onboard. While details are expected to vary by vessel, the programme is anticipated to include viewing events, themed entertainment and interactive activities linked to the competition.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup, jointly hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico, will comprise 104 matches played over 39 tournament days.
RCI stated that every match would be available fleetwide during the event.
Beyond shipboard operations, RCI is also expanding its involvement ashore through its partnership with the Miami World Cup 2026 Host Committee. The company is expected to participate in fan events and public activations connected to the tournament, including activities at the FIFA Fan Festival in Miami’s Bayfront Park.
