StarDream Cruises has announced that live coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2026 will be available across its fleet throughout the tournament, which is scheduled to take place from June 11th to July 19th, 2026. Matches will be shown via Sport 24 Special Event Channels on board the company’s vessels, allowing guests to follow the competition while sailing throughout Asia.

Passengers travelling on Genting Dream under the Dream Cruises brand, as well as Star Navigator and Star Voyager under StarCruises, will be able to watch live fixtures in selected venues on board. The broadcasts will be accompanied by a range of themed activities designed to create a match-day atmosphere at sea.

StarDream Cruises stated that the initiative would combine sport, travel and onboard entertainment, enabling guests to experience the tournament while visiting destinations across the region.

During the World Cup period, Genting Dream will operate cruises from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur via Port Klang, with itineraries featuring destinations such as Phuket, Bangkok, Koh Samui, Penang and Melaka. Meanwhile, Star Voyager will sail from Singapore during the opening phase of the tournament, calling at Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, Tioman Island, Pangkor Island, Penang and Kuala Lumpur.

From July 3rd, Star Voyager will reposition to Hong Kong, where she will continue operating regional itineraries to Ha Long Bay, Da Nang, Kaohsiung, Penghu and Xiamen, while maintaining live World Cup coverage on board.

At the same time, Star Navigator will sail from Keelung on a series of Japan-focused itineraries that include Okinawa, Kagoshima, Kumamoto, Kochi and Osaka, offering guests the opportunity to follow the tournament while exploring some of Japan’s most popular cruise destinations.

In addition to live match screenings, onboard programming will include sail-away celebrations, football-themed quizzes, mini-games and recreational activities aimed at bringing guests together throughout the tournament.

As part of the World Cup programme, Genting Dream will also host a collaboration with adidas from June through August. The partnership will feature themed activations, interactive fan zones and exclusive merchandise, further enhancing the sporting atmosphere on board during the tournament period.
