RCI-Royal Caribbean International has introduced Legend of the Seas, the third vessel in its ICON series and the world's largest cruise ship.

Following its inaugural Mediterranean season, the vessel has been showcased through a series of preview videos highlighting its principal attractions, entertainment venues and public spaces, while early reviews have emphasised the ship's scale and extensive range of onboard facilities.

The 20-deck vessel is arranged around eight themed neighbourhoods and incorporates several new concepts, including the immersive Royal Railway – Legend Station dining experience and the Hollywoodland Supper Club. Entertainment offerings include the Broadway production of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, together with new performances at the AquaTheater and the Absolute Zero ice arena.

Among the ship's signature features are Category 6, promoted as the largest waterpark at sea, the Crown's Edge attraction combining a skywalk and aerial obstacle course, a redesigned Surfside neighbourhood for families, Central Park with more than 30,000 living plants, and the Pearl kinetic sculpture, which forms a central architectural feature of the vessel. Guests also have access to 7 swimming pools, more than 20 bars and lounges, and 28 dining venues offering a wide range of culinary options.

For its inaugural deployment, Legend OTS operates 7-night Western Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona and Civitavecchia/Rome. Later in 2026, it will reposition to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, starting 6-night Western Caribbean and 8-night Southern Caribbean itineraries, each visiting Royal Caribbean's Bahamian island CocoCay.

RCI will expand the ICON fleet with two more units scheduled for delivery in 2029 and 2030.
