Oceania Cruises is expanding its onboard enrichment programme with the introduction of Curated Conversations, a new series of discussions featuring prominent figures from technology, film, culture and the arts. The programme is scheduled to debut on selected sailings in 2027 and is designed to complement the line’s destination-focused approach with conversations taking place at sea.
The initial programme will feature actress and director Karen Allen and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. Allen is scheduled to appear aboard Oceania Vista during a voyage from Los Angeles to Papeete between November 11th and 28th, 2027, where she will discuss creativity and her career in the arts. Wozniak will join Oceania Allura for a round-trip voyage from Miami from January 27th to February 5th, 2027, focusing on technology and education.
Rather than adopting a conventional lecture format, Curated Conversations will centre on moderated discussions. The ship’s Cruise Director will conduct the sessions in an interview format before opening the floor to questions from passengers, allowing the programme to develop around the guests’ interests and the experiences of the featured speakers.
Jason Montague, chief luxury officer of Oceania Cruises, said the programme was intended to reflect the curiosity of the line’s passengers by providing access to individuals whose professional experiences and perspectives could add another dimension to the voyage.
The initiative is consistent with Oceania Cruises’ broader emphasis on immersive experiences alongside its small-ship, luxury positioning. The line currently operates a fleet designed around destination-rich itineraries and describes its offering as combining intimate ships, personalized hospitality and extensive global exploration.
The adults-only setting aboard Oceania’s vessels is also expected to provide an environment suited to the conversational format, with the sessions intended to encourage interaction rather than simply present information to an audience.
