RCI-Royal Caribbean is expanding its Australia and Asia-Pacific deployment for the 2027-2028 summer season, with the newly refurbished Ovation of the Seas joining Voyager of the Seas in Brisbane and Anthem of the Seas returning to Sydney. The programme will cover short domestic cruises as well as longer voyages to the South Pacific and New Zealand.
The Australian season will run from October 2027 through April 2028, with itineraries ranging from short 2- and 3-night escapes to voyages of up to 12 nights. Ovation of the Seas is scheduled to begin Brisbane operations in November 2027, offering 3- to 8-night cruises, including Queensland and South Pacific itineraries.
Voyager of the Seas will begin its deployment with a 25-night repositioning voyage from Seattle to Brisbane. The crossing will include calls in Honolulu and French Polynesia before continuing towards Australia. Once based in Queensland, the ship will operate cruises of between 2 and 11 nights, visiting destinations including Noumea, Lifou, Mystery Island, Port Vila and Luganville.
The programme also includes selected Voyager of the Seas departures from Sydney. A 10-night Christmas voyage will combine Australian cruising with New Zealand calls, while a subsequent 15-night repositioning voyage to Singapore will visit Queensland, Darwin and Indonesian destinations.
Anthem of the Seas will return to Sydney from October 2027, operating 3- to 17-night itineraries. Its programme includes South Pacific cruises and voyages to New Zealand, with dedicated Christmas and New Year departures. Royal Caribbean's current Australian programme confirms Anthem of the Seas as the Sydney-based ship, with 3- to 12-night cruises covering destinations in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
The South Pacific programme will also include Royal Caribbean's new Royal Beach Club Lelepa in Vanuatu. The company describes the destination as the first Royal Beach Club in the South Pacific, with the new facility incorporated into selected regional itineraries.
In Asia, Royal Caribbean has extended Navigator of the Seas' Singapore deployment through October 2027. The ship will operate 2- to 5-night round-trip cruises from Singapore to destinations in Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, alongside longer regional itineraries. A 12-night voyage from Tokyo to Singapore will provide a longer repositioning option.
The Singapore programme includes calls such as Penang, Langkawi and Phuket, while selected cruises will visit Vietnam and other destinations in the region. The extension means that Navigator of the Seas will remain based in Singapore for a full year, from October 2026 through October 2027, rather than operating only a conventional seasonal deployment.
The expanded deployment continues Royal Caribbean's strategy of increasing capacity between Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region. The 2027-2028 programme combines Brisbane and Sydney homeport operations with transpacific repositioning voyages and an extended Singapore season, providing a mix of short regional cruises and longer international itineraries.
