RCI-Royal Caribbean is expanding its Asia-Pacific programme with Voyager of the Seas, which will operate a series of 2- to 15-night cruises between October 2027 and April 2028. The seasonal deployment will include departures from Brisbane and Sydney in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong, with itineraries covering Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, China, Japan and South Korea.
The programme combines shorter regional cruises with longer voyages and includes sailings scheduled around the Christmas holiday period and Chinese New Year. Voyager of the Seas will begin the season in Brisbane and Sydney before repositioning north to Singapore and subsequently operating from Hong Kong.
The deployment forms part of Royal Caribbean’s largest Asia-Pacific season to date. Navigator of the Seas is scheduled to operate year-round from Singapore from October 2026, while the expanded Ovation of the Seas will sail from Brisbane and Anthem of the Seas from Sydney. Spectrum of the Seas will operate from Shanghai and Hong Kong, visiting destinations in Japan, South Korea and Vietnam.
Royal Caribbean President of Greater China and Managing Director Asia Ben Bouldin said the expanded programme was intended to give travellers greater flexibility in exploring the region, from shorter breaks to longer itineraries covering multiple destinations.
From October through December 2027, Voyager of the Seas will operate 2- to 7-night cruises from Brisbane, including South Pacific itineraries calling at Mystery Island and Port Vila in Vanuatu and Noumea in New Caledonia. The ship will then reposition to Sydney on a 2-night coastal voyage.
From Sydney, the programme includes a new 10-night Christmas cruise to New Zealand, with calls at Picton, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, as well as a visit to Milford Sound.
Voyager will also operate a 5-night itinerary from Singapore to Hong Kong, with a call at Ho Chi Minh City via Phuoc An in Vietnam. From Hong Kong, 4- and 5-night Chinese New Year cruises will visit Ishigaki and Okinawa in Japan, with selected itineraries featuring an overnight stay in Okinawa.
Additional Hong Kong departures will focus on China and Southeast Asia, including calls at Keelung for Taipei in Taiwan and Chan May, providing access to Hue and Da Nang in Vietnam.
Voyager of the Seas will complement its regional itineraries with a range of onboard facilities, including the FlowRider surf simulator, The Perfect Storm waterslides, a rock-climbing wall, Studio B ice rink and the nine-hole Voyager Dunes mini-golf course. The ship also features Laser Tag: Battle for Planet Z, Adventure Ocean for younger passengers and the Living Room for teenagers.
Dining options include Giovanni’s Table, Chops Grille and Izumi, alongside more casual venues such as Windjammer and Café Promenade.
