CCL-Carnival Cruise Line is introducing a series of Dr. Seuss-themed activities across 23 ships to coincide with the theatrical release of Warner Bros. Pictures Animation’s The Cat in the Hat on November 6th, 2026. The limited-time programme, running during the two weeks ahead of the film’s premiere, also marks the 15th anniversary of Carnival’s partnership with Dr. Seuss.

The onboard celebrations include large Cat in the Hat inflatable installations on selected ships, themed premiere parties in vessel atriums, character appearances, balloon drops and family activities. Some passengers will also receive themed gifts in their cabins, including postcards, snack packs and invitations to meet-and-greet events. Additional activities include special Build-A-Bear workshops, movie-themed photo opportunities and interactive sessions for children at Camp Ocean, featuring games such as The Cat’s Messy Room Mission, The Cat’s Stacking Challenge and The Cat’s Rhyme-O-Rama.

Alongside the temporary film-related events, Carnival is expanding its established Seuss at Sea programme with two new interactive activities. Seuss-a-palooza Game Time will bring Dr. Seuss-inspired music, dancing, tongue twisters and games to the main theatre ahead of the existing Story Time programme. Seuss-a-palooza Family Time will involve families in character-inspired movements, acting out scenes from the books and themed charades.

The wider Seuss at Sea offering already includes the Seuss-a-palooza character parade and Story Time, the Thing 1 and Thing 2 Birthday Breakfast, and Dr. Seuss Bookville.

Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy said the new activities build on the company’s long-running collaboration with Dr. Seuss Enterprises and extend its family entertainment programme across the fleet.

The cruise line is also supporting the film’s release through a joint marketing campaign across digital, television and streaming platforms, as well as onboard cabin televisions. Carnival noted that the availability and timing of individual activities may vary depending on the ship and sailing.
