Costa Offers WeChat Programs for Guests from China

Costa Cruises became the first cruise brand launching a series of WeChat mini programs in an effort to provide one-stop digital solution for guests from China throughout their voyage.

A strategic partnership was revealed on Tuesday, September 26, between Costa Cruises of Carnival Corp. & plc, and China's leading online social platform, WeChat, to pioneer digitization of cruise experience.

Costa Cruises enables its passengers to instantly access services inside WeChat with no need to download the full standalone mobile app, under the new partnership. To date, Costa has launched a couple of mini programs on WeChat with a 3rd mini program in the pipeline.

As the brand which in 2006 brought cruising in China and the leader in Chinese cruise market, Costa operates all year in the country and has served more than 2 million Chinese passengers with differentiated products via 4 ships in China.

In 2019 and 2020, the cruise line will add 2 ships tailor-made for the market in China.
