Celebrity Cruises has returned Celebrity Solstice to service following an extensive refit programme, with the vessel departing Singapore on March 2nd to introduce a series of new venues and structural enhancements. The project marks the commencement of a broader modernization initiative across the line’s Solstice Series ships.

Eight principal additions have been incorporated into the vessel’s public spaces, including four concepts not previously featured within the fleet: Trattoria Rossa, Sunset Park, The Parlor and Boulevard Lounge. The works extend from bow to stern and include a full refurbishment of all existing staterooms, the addition of 54 new cabins and the introduction of four new accommodation categories, bringing total capacity to 1,479 staterooms.

Laura Hodges Bethge, President of Celebrity Cruises, indicated that Celebrity Solstice had originally defined the Solstice Series and that the current reimagining was intended to respect that legacy while establishing a renewed benchmark for the brand’s premium positioning. She stated that the newly introduced venues and services had been developed in response to evolving guest preferences, while maintaining the hospitality standards associated with the company.

Following her deployment in Asia and Australia, Celebrity Solstice is scheduled to commence her Alaska season in summer 2026. On September 13th, 2026, she will depart on a 110-night Grand Voyage, calling at more than 55 non-repeating ports across Alaska, the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand and Asia, concluding with a New Year’s Eve arrival in Hong Kong.

Among the most visible additions is Sunset Park, an open-air venue situated on the top deck. The space accommodates outdoor activities including yoga sessions, lawn games and live music, supported by private cabanas with dedicated attendants. Adjacent to the area, the Sunset Park Café provides casual breakfast and luncheon service, while an expanded Sunset Bar offers a revised cocktail programme.

Two new dining venues have been introduced. Trattoria Rossa presents Roman and Southern Italian cuisine, with a focus on house-made pasta and selected tableside preparations. Fine Cut Steakhouse, previously associated with the line’s Edge Series vessels, has also been installed, offering dry-aged beef and seafood within a formal dining setting.

Entertainment capacity has been broadened through the addition of Boulevard Lounge, a 125-seat venue programmed for piano performances, karaoke and game shows, complemented by the adjacent Boulevard Bar. The Parlor functions as a sports and gaming lounge, equipped with billiards, darts and large-screen broadcasts, supported by a dedicated beverage and light dining menu.

Within the main theatre, two new production shows have been introduced: Smoke and Ivories, centred on mid-twentieth-century musical repertoire, and Rockumentary, structured as a live concert experience recreating notable performances from successive decades. Additional programming includes candlelit string concerts staged in smaller venues throughout the ship.

Accommodation upgrades encompass both public and private spaces. All existing cabins have been modernized, while four new categories have been added: the Panoramic Infinite Veranda Suite, two Panoramic Ocean View Suite classifications and the Deluxe Panoramic Ocean View. The Retreat, the ship’s suite enclave, now incorporates a redesigned sundeck with enlarged whirlpool facilities and an updated private lounge. AquaClass staterooms have been refitted with spa-oriented features, and guests within this category retain access to the Blu restaurant and the Persian Garden thermal suite.

Enhancements extend to established venues including Café Al Bacio, Cellar Masters, World Class Bar, Martini Bar, Pool Bar, Passport Bar, the Fitness Center and Camp at Sea, as well as Luminae, reserved for suite guests. The refit positions Celebrity Solstice for an extended programme of international sailings, with infrastructure and amenities aligned to the company’s current fleet standards.
