Port Tortola Reopens in November

Port Tortola, British Virgin Islands, is currently on course to partially re-open November 1, 2017, after the Caribbean territory was devastated by hurricanes Irma and Maria.

The majority of Tortola's hotels remain closed and during the coming weeks will share updates after more assessments, according to the tourist board of the island.

Nearby Cyril E.King airport in St Thomas USVI re-opened on Thursday, September 28, and BVI ferries resumed operations between the islands thus allowing residents to return to the country.

A number of yacht charter operators announced that they would be back in operation for the winter.
