Winter Storm Delays Cruises

The winter storm in the northeastern United States is affecting transportation for millions of people and is also disrupting a number of cruise itineraries.

The New York-based NCL Norwegian Breakaway was delayed in returning to her home port. Due to winter storm Grayson, the cruise ship has a delayed arrival into New York today, January 5.

Cunard's Queen Mary 2 had to delay her departure from New York by 1 day, leaving Thursday morning instead of Wednesday. The liner is still on schedule to arrive on time in England on January 10. 

In Charleston South Carolina, Grandeur of the Seas reported minor effects. Ship's staff were forced to cancel shore trips due to inclement weather. The city had several inches of snow accumulation on Thursday.
