Mein Schiff 2 Floated Out

A month after the delivery of New Mein Schiff 1, the next TUI ship in line, newbuild Mein Schiff 2, was floated out on Friday, June 1, at Meyer Turku shipyard.

Early next year, new Mein Schiff 2 will be delivered to the client, German TUI Cruises. The timetable for the building of the ship shows how Turku has already been ramping up production volume to meet the increasing demands from its order book.

The float out markеd the beginning of the final stage of ship’s construction. Following the weekend, New Mein Schiff 2 will float at the shipyard's outfitting pier, to be finalized for delivery.

The newbuild will be a sister ship to New Mein Schiff 1, with an added length of 20 m from the previous vessels in the series. After the delivery, the whole fleet of TUI Cruises will be built at Turku shipyard.
