A port of call in Key West's popular Mallory Square is currently unusable for at least 3 months while it is repaired for damage that was caused by cruise ship crash.

City officials announced this week that the cost of repairs could reach as much as half million dollars.

Silversea's superyacht Silver Spirit was leaving Mallory Square a couple of weeks ago when the winds stopped her from turning around to get underway and the ship crashed into a mooring, thus damaging a big concrete block atop pilings.

Key West offers two other ports of call at Outer Mole Pier at Truman Waterfront Park and at Margaritaville Resort close to Mallory Square.
