MSC Cruises today, February 27, took delivery of newbuild liner MSC Bellissima from Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in St Nazaire, France.
The cruise line’s 16th vessel was blessed at the official delivery ceremony prior to setting sail to Southampton UK where she will be officially christened by Italian film star Sophia Loren, the ship’s godmother, on Saturday.
The shipyard is also building two more Meraviglia-generation cruise ships: MSC Grandiosa, due to launch in November 2019 and MSC Virtuosa - in 2020.
