Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. announced that it had entered into an agreement with Chantiers de l’Atlantique, France to order a 5th Edge-class ship for its Celebrity Cruises brand. The newbuild (under construction) is scheduled for delivery in fall 2024.
Launched in 2018, Celebrity Edge liner is the first of all five Edge-class newbuilds - with sisterships Celebrity Apex (scheduled for delivery in 2020) plus 3 more (still unnamed) vessels scheduled for deliveries in fall 2021, fall 2022, and fall 2024.
