Marella Cruises Introduces West End Musical-Themed Afternoon Tea

   August 9, 2019 ,   Cruise Industry

The Great Musical Afternoon Tea is due to be a weekly offering with everything themed around the biggest shows and songs, from the food names to decor and musical surprises. The quirky offering is to be found on board the Marella Explorer 2 ship, the latest addition to the fleet of TUI-owned Marella Cruises.

The afternoon tea will feature 7 savoury dishes and a few options for passengers with a sweet tooth. White-gloved waiters are expected to serve up the mouthwatering options from coronation chicken sandwich and 'By Royal Appointment’ tiger bread to 'Vietnamese Melody' beef tenderloin yakitori and 'School Lunch' cucumber and truffle egg mayonnaise double-decker.

As for dessert, guests can expect some classic 'Naughty but Nice...' treats like homemade scones, preserves and clotted cream. ‘I Like to be in America’ ultimate New York Cheesecake is also a must-try.

Diners can choose from 6 different teas, and a cocktail of choice to complement the menu.

The afternoon tea is planned to be a weekly affair in the stylish Dining Club on Marella Explorer 2, which will be dressed up for the occasion with memorabilia, show posters, and musical surprises.
