Following the conclusion of Seabourn’s 2026 Alaska season on September 18th, the line is preparing for Seabourn Encore to return to Alaska and British Columbia from May through September 2027.
The ship will operate 18 departures ranging from 7 to 15 days, visiting 15 ports and two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Glacier Bay National Park. The itineraries will combine established Alaska destinations with smaller ports, remote waterways and opportunities to explore both the coastline and the state’s interior.
During the 2026 season, Seabourn Encore completed 18 voyages and visited 17 destinations. 9,000+ guests participated in Ventures by Seabourn excursions, which included glacier and wildlife experiences, guided kayaking and Zodiac outings, and visits to coastal communities.
Seabourn President Mark Tamis said the 2027 programme would continue the line’s focus on remote waterways, coastal communities, wildlife and landscapes, combining these experiences with the service and accommodation offered aboard the all-suite Seabourn Encore.
An optional pre-cruise land programme, The Denali Experience, will provide guests sailing southbound from Juneau to Vancouver with an opportunity to explore Alaska’s interior before embarking. The 7-night Seabourn Journey begins in Anchorage and includes a scenic rail journey to Denali National Park and Preserve.
The programme includes flightseeing over Denali’s more than six million acres of wilderness, a wildlife experience at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center in Portage Valley, and a farewell dinner at Tracy’s King Crab Shack on Juneau’s waterfront. Hotel accommodation, daily meals, transportation, airport transfers and expert guiding are included.
Ventures by Seabourn will again form part of the Alaska programme, offering optional excursions led by naturalists, scientists, historians and wildlife specialists. Activities include kayaking and Zodiac outings to areas around glaciers, fjords, coves and other locations that are less accessible to larger vessels. Seabourn Encore carries kayaks and Zodiacs that can be launched directly from the ship.
Guests travelling on Seabourn’s Alaska voyages will receive a complimentary Helly Hansen all-weather jacket. Swarovski Optik binoculars will also be available for complimentary use throughout the voyage for guests staying in Premium Suites.
The 2027 season will continue Seabourn’s Alaska-focused culinary programme introduced in 2026, incorporating regional seafood, locally sourced ingredients and foraged products. Dining experiences include Surf & Sear Sailaway, Alaskan Seafood Boil, Fisherman’s Table and Midnight Sun Dinner. A destination-inspired cocktail programme will feature drinks such as Glacier Fir and Inside Passage Punch, incorporating Alaska glacial ice and regional ingredients.
Seabourn Encore’s all-suite accommodation is designed to complement the destination, with every suite featuring a private veranda. Guests will have views of glaciers, wildlife and coastal scenery from the ship, alongside Seabourn’s dining programme, regional entertainment and presentations covering Alaska’s history, culture and wildlife.
The onboard programme will also include Seabourn signature events such as Caviar on the Ice, while the ship’s indoor and outdoor spaces will provide additional opportunities to experience the destination between port calls.
