'Top Hat' Debuts on 2 Cunard Ships

Luxury cruise line Cunard announced it will launch the musical Top Hat at Royal Court Theatre exclusively onboard Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth beginning this September.

The musical premiered on Queen Victoria on September 3 and on Queen Elizabeth on September 17. It will be performed exclusively on Cunard Line's ships for the next 4 years.

Winner of 3 Laurence Olivier Awards, of which Best New Musical, Top Hat is a comedy set in the 1930’s Hollywood Golden Age. It is popular for the dazzling costumes, set design, and iconic tap dancing. The romantic show is based on the 1935 motion picture of RKO of the same name and features lyrics and music by world-famous American composer Irving Berlin.

Passengers aboard Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth will soon be able to experience Jerry Travers' story. Jerry is a man who dances his way across Europe on a legendary cruise to win the heart of society girl Dale Tremont.
