The 4th Royal Princess class ship built by Fincantieri for Princess Cruises, Sky Princess, was delivered on Tuesday, October 15, at the Monfalcone shipyard.
This cruise ship marks the 17th that Fincantieri has delivered to Princess, all built at Monfalcone shipyard. Sky Princess' debut marks the first time a vessel has been purpose-built as a Princess MedallionClass ship, the leading-edge technology which delivers personalized service on a large scale via enhanced guest-crew interaction and enabling interactive entertainment.
The 145,000 GT newbuild has max passenger capacity 4610 (3668 lower berths) and 1834 staterooms. Vessel's suisterships are the same-designed Royal Princess, Regal Princess and Majestic Princess. All liners were built at Monfalcone Shipyard starting from 2013.
The class continues with the upcoming Enchanted Princess and Discovery Princess, scheduled for delivery respectively in 2020 and 2021.
