Sea Cloud Spirit, which is currently under construction at Metalyards & Docks Shipyard (Vigo Spain) passed her first round of seaworthiness trials last week.

The 3-masted sailing cruise ship has max passenger capacity 136 and like her sisterships, Sea Cloud and Sea Cloud II, is expected to occupy a special niche within the cruising travel market.

Once completed, the new ship (formerly named Sea Cloud Hussar) will offer plenty of outdoor space along with an exclusive wellness & spa concept, all with the elegant interior design of a classic yacht. Out of the 69 oceanview cabins, 25 will have step-out balconies. For the first time ever on a sailing ship, Sea Cloud Spirit will have an elevator connecting the decks.

In order to enhance the passengers’ culinary experience, guests will have the choice between fine dining in the restaurant and casual dining experience on the ship's Lido deck. Like her sisterships, the food concept is focused on local fresh food and wine.
