PortMiami set another record-breaking year in collaboration with partners. During the 12-month period that ended on September 30, the Port experienced a 22% increase in passenger totals, surpassing Miami's previous world record with an all-time high total of 6,824,000 cruisers.

On the cruise side, the increase is strengthened by the development of a brand new business. Royal Caribbean officially opened the Crown of Miami, Cruise Terminal A, and celebrated the arrival of the largest ship in the world, Symphony of the Seas. Norwegian Cruise Line welcomed Norwegian Bliss. Carnival added the new Carnival Horizon. Viking introduced Viking Star and Viking Sun. MSC Cruises welcomed MSC Armonia.

The expanded partnerships are expected to generate an additional economic impact on South Florida of around US$7.8 billion with 27,500 jobs annually.
