Despite travel restrictions and lockdowns, the German (Scylla AG-owned) river cruise company VIVA Cruises announced that for season 2021 it will have 3 ships under charter and sailing exclusively for the brand. Following extensive refurbishments, the 3 riverboats will be renamed and operated year-round.

Two of VIVA Cruises’ ships - MS Inspire and MS Treasures (chartered from the parent company Scylla AC) will be cruising exclusively for VIVI in 2021, under the names "VIVA Inspire" and "VIVA Treasures". The boats will be deployed on the rivers Main, Rhine and Moselle the whole year-round.

MS Robert Burns (which sailed for VIVA in 2020) will be renamed "VIVA Moments" and becomes a permanent member of the fleet. The 2018-built ship has 88 outside cabins (most with French balconies) and 4 suites (with step-out balconies). VIVA Moments will operate 7- and 16-night itineraries on Danube River. As the launch of VIVA One (the company's first owned boat) was pushed back to 2022, VIVA Moments takes over the planned for VIVA One cruises in 2021.

All of the 3 ships will be given a fresh new look with VIVA Cruises’ recognizable blue colors, and will join other ships like VIVA Tiara (the company's first owned boat) which started Danube and Rhine cruises in June 2020.

All 2021 itineraries include VIVA’s Checklist (health and safety measures introduced in light of the COVID and "VIVA All-Inclusive" program featuring full board, snacks, minibar, high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, Wi-Fi, beauty products from the luxury cosmetic brand, Rituals, all tips and gratuities.
