Oceania Cruises revealed that the launch of its collection of exotic itineraries for winter 2022-2023 on March 3 had resulted in an all-time record with the most bookings taken in a single day in the 18-year history of the company.

On March 3, 2021, Oceania opened its 2022-2023 Tropics and Exotics Collection of itineraries for sale to the general public.

The collection of 127 itineraries ranges between 7-77 days across Asia, Africa, Antarctica, Australia & New Zealand, South America, the Caribbean, and the South Pacific. Top-selling destinations include Asia, Africa, and South America. Australia/New Zealand and the Caribbean also produced strong results with the single bestselling cruise of all being a 35-day circumnavigation of Australia over the Christmas and New Year holidays.

This latest booking record comes just weeks after the cruise line sold out its 6-month-long world voyage on the first day it opened for sale. Vacationers continue to drive robust demand for long, exotic cruises with “Grand Voyages” ranging from several weeks to 2+ months in length, accounting for ~30% of the bookings taken on March 3.

Oceania has also seen strong demand for its 2022 Europe & North America collection of cruises. To satisfy demand from clients and travel advisors who are booking in advance, the company will be opening the spring, summer & fall 2023 Europe and North America cruises for sale beginning in September.
