Crystal Cruises' newest ship Crystal Endeavor leaves MV WERFTEN shipyard in Stralsund

On July 10, Crystal Endeavor, which is the first Germany-made PC6-class luxury expedition yacht, sailed out of MV WERFTEN shipyard in Stralsund, accompanied by Crystal Cruises' sail away song by Louis Armstrong “What a Wonderful World”.

The newbuild is bound for Iceland and her inaugural cruises in the Land of Fire and Ice.

A sail away celebration was held at MV WERFTEN for family members and employees who offered a heartfelt sendoff of waving and wishes of “bon voyage”.

Crystal Endeavor left Stralsund with a fully vaccinated crew and is scheduled to arrive in Reykjavík, Iceland on July 15. The ship will depart Reykjavík on her maiden voyage on July 18 following an overnight in the city on the first in a series of five 10-night roundtrips circumnavigating Iceland.

Crystal Endeavor was named on June 26, in Stralsund with Manuela Schwesig (Prime Minister of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) serving as the ship’s Godmother.
