On Wednesday, July 21, the CCL-Carnival Cruise Line's ship Carnival Breeze arrived at Costa Maya (Quintana Roo Mexico, Riviera Maya), one of the most beautiful cruise ports in the Caribbean after 16 months pause imposed by COVID-19.

Christine Duffy (CCL's President) said the return of Carnival Breeze to Costa Maya represented a great step for the local community.

The ship left homeport Galveston Texas on July 19, carrying ~2700 passengers. Mexico's Costa Maya is among the highlights of the 5-day Caribbean itinerary.

Duffy added:

“The resumption of cruise service and demand translates into an immediate and positive economic impact for our valued destination partners. We look forward to bringing back the benefits and fun of sailing while remaining responsibly engaged and prioritizing the health, safety and well-being of our guests, crew, as well as the communities we visit.”
