The ultra-premium brand Seabourn revised the date for the first cruise of its newest expedition ship Seabourn Venture.
The ship will now depart on her Maiden Voyage from London-Greenwich (England UK) on April 10, 2022.
In July, a group of Seabourn executives visited T. Mariotti's shipbuilding yard (in Genoa Italy) and received a detailed update on the vessel's progress over the past 18 months, which has been affected by disruptions due to the COVID crisis and related supply chain challenges.
By August 10, customers booked on Seabourn Venture's affected voyages (between December 11, 2021, and April 24, 2022) will be provided with more information concerning the cancellations.
The new boat will sail 2 new itineraries around the UK, including the inaugural cruise from London, and those sailings will go on sale on August 19.
Seabourn Venture's inaugural season will start on April 10, 2022. The second sistership (named Seabourn Pursuit in Sept 2021) is also under construction at T. Mariotti shipyard, with delivery planned for December 2022. Both boats are designed with PC6 hulls (Polar Class 6), modern hardware and technologies extending their global deployment and operational capabilities. Each will carry a 26-person expert expedition team, 2x custom-built submarines, 24x Zodiacs, sea kayaks.
