Fred Olsen Cruise Lines' new flagship Bolette had Dover UK as her backdrop when she set sail on her scenic maiden voyage on Monday afternoon, August 16.

Fred Olsen Bolette (fka MS Amsterdam/Holland America) offers scenic sailing of the Isles of Scilly 140 islets, the designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty popular for its rock formations and long beaches, and the Channel Islands' dramatic coastlines on her maiden 3-night cruise.

This milestone journey follows an extensive refurbishment program that has seen cabins updated, brand new bathrooms installed, new carpets laid throughout, and public areas revamped. The project introduced Fred Olsen's venues The Bookmark Cafe, The Oriental Tea Room, and the Morning Light Pub, alongside new additions including an all-weather pool, The Auditorium, and a 2-tiered theatre.

There will be opportunities for passengers to tantalize their taste buds in the ship's new specialty dining venues. For a modern take on Indian food, there is Vasco, called after the explorer Vasco Da Gama, the first European to reach India by sea. Colours & Tastes offers Asian Fusion dishes.

With max capacity 1656 passengers, MS Bolette continues to offer the same small ship experience for which Fred. Olsen is renowned.
