NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line unveiled its upcoming entertainment and fun experiences on Norwegian Prima.

The vessel is the first of six Prima-Class newbuilds on order and debuted with record-breaking bookings when Prima was announced in May 2020.

The boat will boast Tony Award-nominated musical "Summer: The Donna Summer Musical" as her interactive headlining act. NCL Norwegian Prima will also showcase a wealth of cruise industry first and new-to-brand onboard experiences when she sets sail in summer 2022, including the world's first venue that transforms from a 3-story theatre into a Vegas-style nightclub, the largest racetrack at sea, and freefall drop dry slides.

From the team that brought "Jersey Boys" with residence on Norwegian Bliss, comes "Summer: The Donna Summer Musical" - the story of Donna Summer's rise from young starlet to the Queen of Disco with a score of 20+ of Summer's mega hits. The 75-minute production will be the first at sea where the theater transforms into a full disco and passengers can become a part of the show. Guests can experience high-energy acrobatics while partaking in the multisensory light spectacular.

All of the headlining acts aboard Norwegian Prima including some of the new experiences will take center stage in the transformational theater. The 3-story venue, designed to convert the space from a state-of-the-art performance stage to an expansive dance floor, will provide a customizable seating layout and moving LED screen (nearly half the size of the venue) lowering from the ceiling. The extravagant nightclub's SENSORIA theme offers clubgoers an "out-of-body experience" where they can enjoy late into the night under innovative special effects and high-energy music.

Norwegian Prima will roll out its interactive "LIVE on NCL" game show that allows the audience to be part of the show and have a chance to win grand prizes. The immersive productions are powered by the world leader in creating, producing, and distributing content, Fremantle Media, and transforms the Prima Theater and Nightclub into a larger-than-life production set where vacationers can be participants in some of the most legendary game shows in the world including "The Price is Right LIVE on NCL", "Supermarket Sweep LIVE on NCL", "Press Your Luck LIVE on NCL", "Beat the Clock LIVE on NCL".

As the only cruise company to offer go-karts at sea, Norwegian will up the ante on Prima, offering the biggest and the first-ever 3-level racetrack with Prima Speedway. The speedway features a longer straightaway with the fleet's longest racetrack (length 420 m / 1378 ft) which is 22% larger than the racetrack on NCL Encore. It will now go around and through the ship's funnel and boasts 14 turns where 15 drivers are able to simultaneously race on the open ocean with speeds of 30+ mph (50+ kph). After completing their thrill ride, racers can unwind at the Prima Speedway Bar beneath the racetrack.

Norwegian Prima also boasts The Drop, the first freefall dry slide in the world where users can experience a ten-story plunge reaching "the highest G-forces of any cruise line". The experience takes a competitive turn with The Rush, with dueling dry slides where cruisers can race each other.

The popular indoor virtual gaming complex of Norwegian, The Galaxy Pavilion, offers 14 attractions to choose from, such as 4 new hyper-immersive simulator experiences only offered on Norwegian Prima, 2 different escape rooms, a Topgolf Swing Suite - the only available at sea. The Suite delivers an immersive social experience, featuring Topgolf games, renowned virtual golf courses, multi-player games.  It is powered by Full Swing golf simulator technology, the same used by PGA Tour pros like Jon Rahm and Tiger Woods.

NCL Norwegian Prima will also debut additional activities for passengers of all ages with The Bull's Eye, a twist on the classic game of darts with a video tracking system automatically calculating each guest's score and offering instant game replays. NCL will introduce a supercharged version of minigolf, Tee Time, where passengers can enjoy 9 interactive holes set among a Vegas-style backdrop and have a chance to win "worth-your-while" prizes.

Making its first appearance on NCL Norwegian Prima as part of the Aqua Park and Main Pool area is the brand's first Tidal Wave waterslide featuring surfs where travelers can ride an innertube to catch the best wave. Those looking to relax can choose either one of the two infinity hot tubs or the area's cascading water feature.

NCL's adult-only area, Vibe Beach Club, returns on Norwegian Prima with enhanced experiences such as a dedicated bar and 2 infinity hot tubs.

The guest-favorite classic rock club, Syd Norman's Pour House, makes its Rockstar comeback on Prima after the concept first debuted on Norwegian Breakaway back in 2018. The venue boasts a stellar house band playing the greatest rock songs of all time.

There will also be laughs on the high seas with standup performances at The Improv at Sea comedy club against the tongue-and-cheek "Science of Comedy"  intellectual theme.

After Norwegian Prima ends her inaugural year cruising bucket-list itineraries as the industry's newest liner, she will be the only ship during the winter 2023-2024 season offering 7-day Western Caribbean voyages from Galveston TX, providing the region's most extensive port experiences with every itinerary visiting 4 ports. Norwegian Prima will call at Costa Maya and Cozumel in Mexico; the Caribbean's premier island destination in Belize, Harvest Caye; and Roatan Island in Honduras, with all visits featuring between 8 and 9 in-port hours.

With cruises beginning in summer 2022, NCL Prima will be 965 ft long, 142,000+ GT-tons, with 20 decks, 1646 staterooms, passenger capacity 3215 (double occupancy/max capacity is 3950).
