RCI-Royal Caribbean’s newest ship - Wonder of the Seas, has a lineup of 20+ dining venues headlined by the fleet-first “The Mason Jar Southern Restaurant & Bar”.

Onboard the highly anticipated liner (debuting in March 2022), travelers also have in store a variety of flavors that range from American sports bar favorites at Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade and Italian classics at Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar to New England-inspired dishes at Hooked Seafood.

The Mason Jar invites passengers to share a meal and drinks in a warm and casual setting. Details serve up the southern charm in the specialty restaurant. Setting the scene is the live country music, farmhouse-style and rustic decor, even a cozy porch that is decked out with a swing for lounging and a dedicated bar at the center.

The menu includes Southern staples and twists on classics guests can enjoy for brunch, dinner, and late-night bites. Favorites for brunch range from the Sweet-Tooth Cinnamon Roll to savory johnnycakes topped with barbeque pulled pork. At supper, highlights feature fried green tomatoes, authentic southern fried chicken, crab beignets with lump crab dip, shrimp and grits. For a dessert, there is everything from traditional pies to shakes and spiked floats. There is also a robust collection of over a dozen American whiskeys along with a lineup of southern libations, like the classic mint julep and the Mississippi Moonlight made with blackberry moonshine, blackberries, and lemonade.
