Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) postponed the launch of Harvest Caye until November 2016, 9 months after it was scheduled to open. The 75-acre plot situated in southern Belize was bought by the line in August 2013. The debut of the $50 million project was originally set on February 16, 2016.
Norwegian is developing Caribbean's premier destination experience at Harvest Caye, Belize. The spectacular resort-style port of call will feature an exclusive beach, expansive pool, private luxury cabanas, shallow lagoon for water sports, and even more exciting features. The highest quality amenities and services will be delivered to NCL guests in one of the richest ecosystems in the area with a diversity of flora and fauna, core to Harvest Caye experience. When it opens, Harvest Caye will become Norwegian's second private port, following Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas, which opened in 1977.
