Marella Dream cabins review
The following is a review of Marella Dream staterooms, including furniture, amenities, and complimentary services:
- All Marella Dream cabins feature either 1 queen or 2 single beds (configured side by side or L-shaped), a living area with 2 full-length wardrobes/closets with drawers, a private bathroom (WC and shower with curtain), flat-screen TV, mini-bar, coffee maker, direct-dial phone, chargeable safe, hairdryer, and individually controlled air-conditioning.
- Deck 11 Grand Suites are the ship’s only balcony accommodations. Each features a private veranda with lounge furniture (table and chairs), luxury bathroom, 2 sofas, HDTVs, DVD players, iPod stations, extra storage, and separate bedroom and living areas.
- Deck 7 portside Suites are twice the size of standard cabins. Each includes a picture window, a separate sleeping area with 2 single beds (convertible to queen), and 2 foldaway upper and lower beds.
- All Suites are equipped with whirlpool baths.
- Deluxe staterooms are larger, feature picture windows, and come with 2 twin beds (convertible to double) plus a single sofabed for a third guest. Some Deluxe cabins have partially obstructed views due to lifeboats.
- Most Outside/Oceanview cabins have picture windows, while forward cabins on Decks 4-5 are fitted with portholes. “Outside Plus” cabins are located midship.
- Single cabins feature 1 single bed, 1 wardrobe, and a private bathroom (WC and shower).
- Passengers may select their preferred deck location by pre-booking specific cabin numbers for a nominal fee per stateroom.
Bonus services (included in the cruise fare for all Suite categories) include free Internet access, a complimentary mini-bar (replenished daily with drinks), Xbox gaming console, concierge service (packing/unpacking, daily newspaper, reservations for specialty dining, spa bookings, private tours and events), priority services (check-in, embarkation, disembarkation, tendering), in-room dining (hot/cold snacks and fresh fruit between 7 am–7 pm), and exclusive Suite-only access to the X-Lounge (with Champagne and premium spirits) and a private sundeck.
Marella Cruises’ (formerly Thomson) “Premier Service” is available exclusively to Suite passengers. Perks include priority check-in, one Continental breakfast in bed per week, complimentary pressing service (within the first 24 hours onboard, limit of 3 items per person), and concierge assistance for dining and excursion reservations. Express services (such as airport check-in and luggage delivery) are available at select ports and subject to availability.
