Silver Moon cabins and suites

MS Silver Moon cabins are larger than the luxury cruising industry's standard. As is traditional for Silversea, the Moon ship is all-suite, with all accommodations located in the forward half of the vessel. All public rooms are located between midship and the stern. The total number of cabin categories is 7.

All Silver Moon suites feature private balconies. Handicap (wheelchair-accessible) cabins for disabled passengers are only 4 (#407, 409, 417, 931), all located on the starboard side near the ship's forward elevators. As connecting cabins are offered, a total of 32 Veranda Suites can be combined and booked as double (2-bedroom) suites when adjacent to higher-grade suite accommodations.

Below is a review of Silver Moon staterooms (suite accommodations), including furniture, amenities, and included (complimentary) services.

Each of the Silver Moon suites includes the following amenities: large living area (chairs, coffee table, sofa, writing desk), walk-in closet (wardrobe with plenty of drawers and shelves), vanity area (mirrored table and stool), marble bathroom (bathtub and separate shower, vanity sink/WC area, plush robes and slippers by Etro, towels, and luxury bath products — Bvlgari by default), bedroom (queen bed convertible to twins, luxury mattresses, Pratesi bedding sets, pillow menu, duvets), leather headboard, bedside tables with lamps, hairdryer, smart UHD TVs (satellite reception, interactive infotainment system, Internet access, movies-on-demand, ship information channel, live camera views), media center (high-quality sound system and interactive media library), iPod station, radio/alarm clock, wall-mounted chargers for mobile devices, mini-bar (cocktail cabinet), fully stocked refrigerator (wine, beer, and soft beverages), safe, direct-dial telephone, magnifying mirror, binoculars, umbrella, stationery, aromatherapy cabin scents by Laura Tonatto, complimentary 24-hour room service (butler service), and 110–220 V power outlets.

Most cabins (excluding Vista and Panorama Suites) feature floor-to-ceiling sliding doors leading to a large private balcony (top-quality teak with luxury patio furniture).

Excluding only Veranda Suites, all other cabins are available in two configurations — 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom (double) suites when booked together with an adjacent Veranda Suite. These offer 2 bathrooms (including a full-size whirlpool bathtub in the main suite), a powder room, convertible sofa bed (for a third guest in the sitting room), 2 verandas (one for the second bedroom), and a separate dining area (dining table with chairs). The list of bonus amenities and perks includes a daily newspaper, 2 hours of cabin phone usage (worldwide calls), complimentary laundry services (dry-cleaning and pressing), en-suite dining with afternoon canapés, Illy coffee maker, additional TVs, exclusive dining at the Officer's Table, and 1 complimentary dinner for two at the Le Champagne restaurant.

• Each of the Silver Suites has 2 HDTVs (55-inch / 140 cm in the main suite) plus 2 HDTVs (42-inch / 107 cm) in the second bedroom.
• Each of the Royal Suites has 2 HDTVs (55-inch / 140 cm and 42-inch / 107 cm) in the main suite, plus 2 HDTVs (42-inch / 107 cm) in the second bedroom. The second bedroom has its own balcony and sitting area.
• Each of the Grand Suites (on decks 8 and 9) has 2 HDTVs (55-inch / 140 cm and 42-inch / 107 cm) in the main suite, plus 2 HDTVs (42-inch / 107 cm) in the second bedroom. The second bedroom has its own balcony and sitting area.
• Each of the Owner's Suites (on deck 9) has a second bathroom (with shower), 2 HDTVs (55-inch / 140 cm and 42-inch / 107 cm) in the main suite, plus 2 HDTVs (42-inch / 107 cm) in the second bedroom. The second bedroom additionally features a sitting area and a large picture window.

The room service menu includes the same items as the dining room's menu. Room service (course-by-course in-cabin dining) is available during the main restaurant's opening hours via the complimentary butler service. During the day, guests can also order fast-food items such as burgers, salads, and appetizers.

Personal butler service includes dinner reservations, room service (en-suite dining), refrigerator stocking, laundry, shoeshine, and packing/unpacking.

Smoking is not permitted either in cabins or on balconies.

Silversea deals include free Wi-Fi (shipwide, in all Suite cabins and public areas). Each passenger is allowed to use at least 1 hour of Wi-Fi Internet service per day at no charge. Wi-Fi is free and unlimited for all guests in the suite categories GS-Grand, RS-Royal, OS-Owner's, and SS-Silver. This amenity upgrade is available on all Silver Moon itineraries, including on themed cruises.
