Deck layouts, review of facilities, activities, amenities

AIDAdiva deck plan review at CruiseMapper provides newest cruise deck plans (2026-2027-2028 valid floor layouts of the vessel) extracted from the officially issued by AIDA Cruises deckplan pdf (printable version).

Each of the AIDAdiva cruise ship deck plans are conveniently combined with a legend (showing cabin codes) and detailed review of all the deck's venues and passenger-accessible indoor and outdoor areas. A separate link provides an extensive information on AIDAdiva staterooms (cabins and suites), including photos, cabin plans and amenities by room type and category.

ms AIDAdiva (2007-built, last refurbished in 2025/AIDA Evolution refurbishment) is the first of the SPHINX-class AIDA Cruises ships, alongside AIDAbella and AIDAluna. The shipowner is Costa Cruises (a Carnival Corporation-owned company), and the vessel is operated by the German company AIDA Kreuzfahrten.

The AIDAdiva cruise ship deck plan includes 1025 cabins accommodating 2050 passengers (max capacity 2500), served by 590 crew and staff. The vessel has 13 decks (11 accessible to passengers, 6 with cabins), 7 restaurants, 11 bars and lounges, 3 swimming pools, 4 Jacuzzis/outdoor hot tubs, and 10 elevators.

Complimentary dining options (included in AIDAdiva cruise fares) include Markt, Weite Welt, Pizzeria Mare, and Bella Vista. At an additional charge (reservation-only) are Rossini, Buffalo, and the Sushi Bar. In the three buffet restaurants (Markt, Weite Welt, Bella Vista), wine and beer are complimentary during lunch and dinner.

In addition to the crew, AIDAdiva passengers are assisted by Pepper robots, advanced humanoid technology introduced fleetwide in 2016. These robots greet and guide guests at embarkation and provide information throughout the cruise, including dining options, entertainment, enrichment programs (workshops and scheduled events), casino and shopping promotions, and shore excursions. Pepper robots are mobile and communicate in English, German, and Italian. They can also interpret human emotions by analyzing vocal tones and facial expressions.

AIDAdiva deck plan changes/refurbishments review

The 2025 drydock refurbishment (February–March), part of the AIDA Evolution fleet upgrade program, was a major 7-week project. It resulted in the following deck plan and facility/amenity changes:

  • The Theatrium (main show lounge) received redesigned seating (with backrests around the stage on Deck 9), a new color scheme, and advanced sound, lighting, and stage control systems.
  • All cruise cabins were updated with new canopies, carpets, curtains, and color schemes. Balcony cabins were fitted with new chairs and sofas. Some cabins were reconfigured to quads to accommodate families. Six new family suites were added at the stern, each with private sundecks, separate living/sleeping areas (with double beds), and additional beds in the living room. Some suites now accommodate up to five guests plus a baby cot. Suite guests have access to exclusive retreats—the Sky Deck and Rossini Lounge.
  • Public areas on Decks 9, 10, and 11 were extensively redesigned.
  • New dining and beverage venues were introduced: French Kiss (restaurant and bar), East Fusion (Asian cuisine), Tapas Bar (Spanish snacks), Yachtclub Restaurant (maritime cuisine), Panorama Bar, Ice Bar, Tokyo Bar, and Lanai Bar.
  • The wellness complex was completely renovated, with the addition of two Thermal Suites equipped with private whirlpools, saunas, and waterbeds. The Hair Spa was redesigned and now includes a Nail Spa.
  • A new Fun Park was installed on Deck 14, featuring a 7.5-m / 27-ft-high climbing tower, a slide, and interactive caves.
  • The Kids Club was redesigned.

The 2022 drydocking (April 25 – May 12, at Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven) involved technical updates, general maintenance, renovation of several public areas, and the addition of a new restaurant—Almhütte—serving traditional German dishes and popular beers. The Body & Soul Spa was expanded with a sundeck for outdoor relaxation, and the gym was outfitted with new equipment. Cyberobics workouts led by professional trainers were also introduced.

The 2015 drydock refurbishment (April 21 – May 4, at Blohm+Voss Hamburg) included the following upgrades:

  • Installation of a scrubber (filter) system to reduce air pollution by removing particulates and gases from the exhaust
  • Over 30 upgrades and cosmetic improvements, including 12,000 m² of new carpeting
  • (Deck 11) Renovation of the Beach Bar and redesign of the golf area
  • (Deck 9) Addition of new retail shops
  • Upgrade of the Body & Soul spa and fitness complex with new training equipment
  • (Deck 10) Photo Store upgraded with 11 digital photo stations

Due to photo digitization, AIDA Cruises reduced its overall chemical and photo paper usage by 50%
