Ambience deck plans

MS Ambience (built in 1991 as “Regal Princess”, last refurbished by P&O Australia as "Pacific Dawn" in 2017, refitted by Ocean Builders as "MS Satoshi" in 2021, first refurbished by Ambassador UK in 2022, and most recently in November–December 2023) is the first ship in the fleet of the UK-based new travel brandAmbassador Cruise Line. The ship was also previously planned to join the Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) UK fleet. She has sailed under the names Regal Princess (1991–2007), Pacific Dawn (2007–2020, operated by P&O Australia), and Satoshi (2020–2021, operated by Ocean Builders).

On September 29, 2020, P&O Australia announced the vessel's sale. The new owner, Ocean Builders (a Panama-based company), converted the ship into a "Crypto Cruise Ship" (a residential vessel). In February 2021, Pacific Dawn was scheduled to leave P&O Australia (final cruise February 8, 2021, Melbourne–Brisbane–Singapore) and join CMV’s fleet as "Amy Johnson". However, CMV filed for bankruptcy in July 2020.

The Ambassador Ambience cruise ship deck plan includes a total of 798 staterooms accommodating 1,596 passengers (maximum capacity 1,915), served by 660 crew. The ship has 13 decks (11 accessible to passengers, 7 with cabins), 5 restaurants and food bars, 9 lounges and bars, 2 swimming pools, 4 Jacuzzis (outdoor whirlpools), and 9 elevators.

Self-service launderettes (laundry and ironing facilities for passengers) are located on Decks 5 (Plaza) and 10 (Baja). Laundry services are available at an additional charge and are not included in the cruise fare. Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor public areas.

Pacific Dawn Deck Plan Changes – 2017 Refurbishment Review

During the ship’s drydock refurbishment in Singapore (February 19–March 15, 2017), the following upgrades and changes were made:

• A new Aqua Park (a state-of-the-art waterpark) was added on the top deck.
• On Lido Deck 12, "The Pantry" (a buffet-style marketplace with several fresh food outlets) replaced the traditional Lido Buffet restaurant, "Plantation Restaurant". New venues within The Pantry include the Mediterranean-cuisine "Nic & Toni’s" and the seafood restaurant "Shell & Bones".
• "Shell & Bones Seafood & Grill", located aft as part of The Pantry, is complimentary during the day. In the evenings, it transforms into an à la carte restaurant. The seafood menu includes popular Australian dishes such as Singaporean Chili Crab (from Queensland) and Steamed Blue Mussels with Wine (from South Australia). The daily grill menu features items like slow-cooked beef short ribs, Portuguese-style roast chicken, and vegetarian options.
• A dual waterslide was installed on Deck 14.

The following venues and lounges were redesigned: Atrium areas (Decks 5–6–7), Charlie’s Bar (Deck 5), The Orient Bar (Deck 7), The Dome Bar Lounge (Deck 14), Pool Café (Deck 12), Promenade Bar (Deck 7), Techno Store, Lobby Reception, and the Spa.
