Review of Disney Magic deck 3 (Lobby-Lounge)

After Hours / Route 66 (entertainment district, with 3 clubs, adults only after 9pm – O’Gill’s Pub, Fathom and Keys)

Fathoms / WaveBands Lounge Disco & Nightclub (open 7:15 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.) is family in the day and adults-only in the night club; dance parties, karaoke, audience games, variety shows, comedy acts; with Walt Disney Magic Theatre Cast performances. A DJ hosts dance parties every night. This fun venue has a full bar, intimate seating nooks and an underwater theme with lighting fixtures like jellyfish.

Keys (adult-only piano bar, live piano and vocals music, full bar service/additional charge; features handcrafted cocktails; also used for religious services. Open from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., this After Hours hangout is best known for musical tribute nights that honor legends like the Beatles, Nat King Cole and Billy Joel.

O’Gill’s Pub (sports bar/Irish pub, with live music, large TVs, classic table games, full bar service, Martini Tastings. The bar features free snacks like hot dogs and nachos around Happy Hour time. An a la carte meal is also offered with bar favorites like German pretzel, burger sliders, loaded Tater Tots, fried coconut shrimp, bangers and mash (each between $8-$12). During the day, the pub hosts live Irish music, trivia and other games like Jenga challenge. Complimentary small bites like raw veggies with dip, Buffalo wings, nachos and cheese are available throughout the day. A late-night snack is served between 11:00 p.m. and midnight.)

Magic’s Grand Lobby Atrium (3-decks high central ship area, custommade carpet, art deco chandelier, new furnishings, grand piano, large portholes, the “Helmsman Mickey” bronze statue)

Lumiere’s / Triton's Restaurant (471 seats forward Dining Room for Breakfast 7-9:30am, Lunch 12-1:30pm and 2 open Dinner servings- 5:30-6pm and 8-8:30pm, with 4-course menu, and on 7+ day cruises- Gala Dessert Buffet. Lumiere's was named after the candlestick from "Beauty and the Beast."  It is the most traditional dining room of the trio and boasts Art Deco decor and a ballroom feel. The French-inspired menu offers starters like duck confit and escargot, and main courses including chateaubriand-roasted filet steak.

Royal Court Royal Tea is where kids can meet their favorite characters. Held once per sailing in Lumiere's, for children 3-12 years, it is a fancy tea party with character visits and a spread of juice, sandwiches, cupcakes, little gifts. The experience is $279 for two (an adult and a child) and $69 for  additional child.

Carioca’s / Parrot Cay Restaurant (471 seats aft Dining Room for Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner/same dining times; with South American/Brazilian specialties for dinner, full wine list, specialty cocktails)

Rapunzel's Royal Table is available only on Magic. This "Tangled" themed restaurant was introduced in 2018 dry dock and combines entertainment with meals. The food is Germanic and heavy, including pork platters, prime rib and pretzel bread. Characters come out and sing songs from "Tangled".

Promenade Lounge (104 seats family venue open noon-midnight; full bar service, snacks, specialty coffees and drinks, family fun activities), with the Internet Cafe (16 Internet computer stations room). The Promenade Lounge also has a small stage and seating nestled in between Rapunzel's Royal Table and Lumiere's. Like most public areas onboard, the venue boasts features Art Deco design, with light woods, navy blues and black-and-white chairs. Live music is played before and after dinner. Daytime activities also include games like Wii challenge and charades, Disney tunes trivia, origami-making crafts.

During the drydock refurbishment in 2023 (April-May) near Rapunzel's Royal Table was created The Soul Cat Lounge. It is themed on Disney's animation film "Soul" (2020-released) and designed to resemble the Half Note Lounge from the movie (Joe Gardner's favorite music spot).

The Soul Cat Lounge is music-themed, with a classic NYC jazz club ambiance and an interior featuring brick walls, wooden accents, comfortable leather seating (surrounding a stage for live music performances in the evenings), Pixar-themed artworks (record labels, concert posters, portraits of Dorothea Williams and her bandmates), music-themed design elements (record players, instruments, Joe Gardner's hat). Table-side are served local brews, signature cocktails (made with New York spirits), a selection of mocktails, brand coffees, sodas, zeppoles (Italian fried doughnuts).
