Review of Seven Seas Grandeur deck 4 (Dining-Lounge-Casino-Shops)
Constellation Theater (lower level 1 of 2) is the ship's main show lounge for large-scale music and show productions. The evening program features cabaret- and acrobatic (cirque-style) shows, also theatrical performances, concert recitals and live music by the ship's 7-piece orchestra. There are four developed exclusively for the Regent cruise line Broadway-style evening shows that feature performances by a cast of 12 singers/dancers and the live music of the ship's orchestra. The shows are named "Peggy Lee Songbook" (also includes new arrangements of Peggy's famous hits), "Burn the Floor" (1960s music-themed, includes the dances Jive, Swing, Twist, Fosse, Madison), "Paradis" (Paris-themed / Moulin Rouge-style show - songs, dances, theatrics, over 300+ costumes) and "A Day in Hollywood" (featuring music written for movies and popular songs from the 1920s through 1960s). The Constellation Theater has tiered seating and features Murano glass lamps. During the day, the Theater operates as Constellation Lounge serving the Regent Cruises' enrichment program by hosting cooking classes, itinerary-related expert lectures, media presentations, etc.
Two boutique shops sell duty-free priced luxury jewelry, perfumes, precious stones, designer watches, brand fashion and accessories, Regent Cruises-logoed wear, special occasion gifts, souvenirs, swimwear.
The Atrium is a 2-decks high open-floor design lounge area featuring a sweeping grand staircase. The Atrium's Lobby level connects the ship's entrances (gangway/boarding areas), the boutiques, the casino and the Explorer Lounge.
Grandeur Lounge & Bar (portside location) has its own stage and dance floor. This is the ship's disco nightclub, serving during the day as a piano bar (resident pianist performances).
Casino Lounge (starboard location) has slots and 8 gambling tables (Blackjack, stud poker, mini-craps, roulette) and operates only when the cruise ship is at open sea.
COMPASS ROSE RESTAURANT
Compass Rose is the main dining room restaurant (open-seating complimentary breakfast, lunch, dinner /reservations are not required). The dining room menu has European cuisine with alternative food choices (kosher, vegetarian, healthy/light menu specialties).
Compass Rose's menu includes gourmet dishes like Black Angus filet mignon, Maine Lobster Tail, King Scallops, New Zealand Lamb Chops, as well as several daily changing specials and a wide selection of vegan and vegetarian items.
The Compass Rose restaurant on Seven Seas Grandeur is redesigned by Studio DADO (2016-founded, Trapani Sicily-based interior design firm). Among the restaurant's features is the cascading waterfall sculpture (made of laser-cut metal and hand-blown glass), illuminated arching trees (wood-edged and made of interwoven crystal), floor-ceiling illumination during the night (hundreds of lights surround the floor-ceiling windows). The restaurant is also lighted by thousands of crystal-faceted leaves (encrusted on pillars and branches throughout). Also new is the mural (an artwork custom-designed by Confluent Studios Inc/Burnaby BC Canada) crafted with gold leaves and mirror-finished (Verre Eglomise process of gilding onto the glass' rear face).
