La Belle des Oceans (built 1989 as "Clipper Odyssey", last refurbished in 2016 as "Silver Discoverer") was one of Silversea ships part of company's "Silversea Expeditions" fleet - with fleetmates Silver Cloud, Silver Explorer and Silver Galapagos. The vessel was initially built for Zegrahm Expeditions (Seattle-based US company) and entered service for Silversea in March 2014. For Silversea, Silver Discoverer ship cruise deals were all-inclusive.
In May 2019, CroisiEurope (one of Europe's largest river cruise companies) announced the acquisition of Silver Discoverer. Joining CroisiEurope's fleet in 2020-Q1, the ship will be renamed "La Belle des Oceans". The French company currently owns one ocean ship - the 2007-built La Belle de l'Adriatique.
