DCL-Disney Cruise Line to relax face mask requirements for passengers

DCL-Disney Cruise Line is the latest company to relax face mask requirements for passengers in the wake of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) updated guidance based on the latest COVID metrics.

Starting March 11, 2022, mask usage will be optional for Disney passengers entering most indoor locations throughout their ship.

In an email to travel advisors, Disney wrote that following recently updated guidance from the U.S. CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), they had updated their face-covering requirements for sailings originating from a U.S. port of departure.

"Beginning March 11, face coverings on Disney Cruise Line will become optional in most indoor locations throughout our ships."

The company confirmed that messages regarding the changes would be sent to passengers on upcoming sailings starting Thursday afternoon (March 3) and provided a breakdown of the affected voyages:
