The keel-laying ceremony was held on Wednesday, July 13th, at the Ancona shipyard for the Seven Seas Grandeur ship, the third luxury ship that Fincantieri Italy is building for RSSC-Regent Seven Seas Cruises - a travel brand and subsidiary of NCLH-Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.

The delivery is scheduled for 2023.

During the official ceremony, 3 custom-minted coins were placed onto the keel of the vessel, each representing one of the sisterships Seven Seas Grandeur (2023), Seven Seas Explorer (2016), and Seven Seas Splendor (2021).

The coins for the two new ships, delivered at the Sestri Ponente (Genova) shipyard back in 2016 and Ancona shipyard in 2020, are replicas of the ones that were placed on respective ships, while the new coin includes the line’s 30th-anniversary logo.
