The Carnival Sunrise ship rescued 12 Cuban refugees from an unseaworthy boat en route to Florida (Miami USA) on Friday evening, July 29, 2022.

The crew of the CCL-Carnival Cruise Line's vessel noticed the people in the Straits of Florida, south of Key West Island.

The ship did her duty to help people in distress and brought the 12 Cubans from the small boat onboard. To do this, Sunrise went off course and reduced speed. The ship docked at PortMiami Florida on time and handed over the rescued to local authorities.
