The USA-based travel brand company Tauck announced it would offer "small ship ocean cruises" from Manhattan NYC (New York USA) to Quebec City (Canada) via the chartered from Silversea ship Silver Shadow in the fall of 2023, marking the latest expansion of the company into domestic cruising.

The new 13-day “Shores of Eastern Canada and New England” itinerary includes 3 northbound NYC-to-Quebec City departures along with 3 southbound sailings, all in September & October 2023.

The new voyage follows the 2019 introduction of Tauck’s “Cruising the Great Lakes: Chicago to Toronto” itinerary.

Elsewhere in the USA, Tauck has also featured a voyage along Alaska’s Inside Passage and a 15-day “Grand Alaska” cruisetour (7-night cruise plus 8-day land tour) in its portfolio for years.

Dan Mahar (Tauck's CEO) said they had seen tremendous interest in their Alaska and Great Lakes programs and had essentially sold out across the board this year. He added they were excited to expand their domestic cruise offerings for next year with the new journey.

The new itinerary starts with an included overnight at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel, which is followed by a day of guided sightseeing in Manhattan.

Passengers embark Silver Shadow that afternoon for a 10-night voyage to Quebec City, highlighted by calls in Newport RI, Boston MA, Bar Harbor ME, Halifax NS, Prince Edward Island (Charlottetown), and Saguenay (Quebec) prior to arriving in Quebec City. There, they can explore the city on a sightseeing trip before venturing out to tour the island Ile d’Orleans and experience Montmorency Falls.

The voyage concludes with a farewell dinner and overnight at Quebec City’s Chateau Frontenac Hotel.
