HAL-Holland America unveils 2024-2025 South America, Antarctica and the Amazon River itineraries

HAL-Holland America Line's South America 2024-2025 season invites passengers to embark on an adventure that takes them across the diverse landscapes of the continent.

From the colossal glaciers of Antarctica to the lush jungles of Brazil, the destination-rich itineraries of Oosterdam's cruises from November 2024 through March 2025 range from 14 to 22 days, offering once-in-a-lifetime experiences such as exploring the Inca ruins of Machu Pichu (from Cusco) and circumnavigating Cape Horn en route to the Antarctic Peninsula.

The 14-day "South America Passage" itinerary offers overnight stays in Buenos Aires, giving guests extra time to experience the nightlife and tango shows of the vibrant city. Ports include Chile, Argentina, Falkland Islands, and Uruguay, with stunning scenic cruising through the Chilean Fjords, Strait of Magellan, Beagle and Cockburn Channels, Glacier Alley, and rounding Cape Horn.

The 17-day "Panama Canal and Inca Discovery" cruise takes guests on a journey between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, with a transit through the lakes and locks of the famed Panama Canal. This itinerary calls in Grand Cayman, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, and Chile, with an overnight at Fuerte Amador, Panama, and two nights at Callao (Lima), Peru, allowing extra time for guests to take an overland tour to Macchu Pichu.

The 22-day "South America and Antarctica" itinerary offers four memorable days exploring the vistas of Antarctica, guided by a naturalist who comes on board to point out penguin colonies and whale pods. Ports of call include Uruguay, Argentina, the Falklands, and Chile, with scenic cruising through the Chilean fjords, Drake Passage, Beagle Channel/Glacier Alley (Patagonia).

The 27-day "Amazon Explorer Cruise" aboard Zaandam is a legendary journey to the Amazon, with 12 total ports in the Caribbean and Brazil, as well as French Guiana. This itinerary includes an overnight at Manaus at the heart of the Amazon, several days cruising along the Amazon River with the famed "meeting of the waters," and two equator crossings where guests and team members who've never crossed go from pollywog to shellback.
