51 cruise ship calls scheduled for 2023 at Port Ancona (Italy)

51 cruise ship calls are scheduled so far for the 2023 season at Port Ancona (Italy), of which 30 calls from MSC Armonia opening the season on April 14th.

Port Ancona's cruise season will include 21 calls by six different shipping companies, including Azamara, CroisiEurope, Marella TUI UK, Oceania, Ponant, and RSSC-Regent Seven Seas, with some specializing in luxury cruises. These companies have included Ancona in their itineraries across the Adriatic Sea, with a focus on discovering the natural and cultural beauty of Ancona and the Marche region, including the Conero Riviera, the Frasassi Caves, Senigallia, and Urbino.

The 2022 season saw an increase in cruise passengers by 98% compared to the previous year, welcoming 73,026 passengers to the port of Ancona. With 51 calls currently scheduled for the 2023 season, it is expected to be a great recovery. The Central Adriatic Ports Authority participated in the recent Seatrade Cruise Global world fair in Florida to promote the opportunities offered by the cruise ports of Marche, Ancona and Pesaro, and Abruzzo, Ortona.

He also emphasizes the commitment of the port to improving infrastructure and attracting even more opportunities to confirm the role of Ancona as a strategic port for the Adriatic-Ionian Region.
