Brenock Technology, a prominent provider of software applications and consulting services for the marine, cruise, and hospitality sectors, has announced a 5-year partnership with Virgin Voyages to serve as their port cost management software provider.
Under this agreement, Virgin Voyages will utilize Brenock's Integrated Management System (IMS), a planning and port cost management tool, across its fleet of four ships. Brenock's cloud-based and mobile-ready planning and management tools will offer Virgin Voyages a modern and comprehensive cruise management system.
Virgin Voyages successfully implemented Brenock IMS in January 2023. IMS is a single-platform solution that provides extensive cruise and marine software capabilities, managing fees and expenses across various operational categories such as itinerary and contract changes, luggage and transfers, tugs and waste, billing, and forecasting.
Juan Trescastro (Virgin Voyages' VP of Global Destinations) expressed excitement about the partnership, stating that Brenock's tools provide unprecedented visibility into data and analytics throughout the voyage lifecycle. By having control and management of multiple voyage aspects within a single platform, Virgin Voyages can efficiently scale their fleet and deliver exceptional experiences to their passengers, known as "Sailors."
Virgin plans to implement Brenock's planning tool in 2023-Q3, making them the first cruise line to adopt Brenock's IMS solution.
The implementation of Brenock IMS is expected to enhance efficiency in planning logistics and cost management across Virgin Voyages' fleet. The tool will streamline staffing, resources, and invoices for each voyage, while also offering features like fuel and berth reservation management and marine port call tracking. Real-time reporting will be available at every stage of the voyage, thanks to the system's automation.
