CCL-Carnival Cruise Line has unveiled plans to introduce groundbreaking innovation on its upcoming Carnival Jubilee: 5G mobile connectivity.

Setting a new industry standard, Carnival Jubilee will be the inaugural Carnival vessel, and the first cruise ship in North America, to offer guests access to 5G mobile phone service. This advancement is made possible through a strategic partnership with Wireless Maritime Service (WMS), a leading cellular provider.

Scheduled to debut in December, Carnival Jubilee will launch as a 5G-enabled vessel, with the service becoming available in early 2024. Guests can enjoy enhanced connectivity through cruise ship service plans offered by their wireless carriers. Following the initial deployment on Carnival Jubilee, the cruise line intends to extend 5G capabilities to other ships within its fleet.

In response to the increasing demand for connectivity at sea, Carnival has implemented comprehensive Wi-Fi enhancements across its entire fleet. Recent fleetwide upgrades include the installation of necessary infrastructure for leveraging SpaceX's Starlink Satellite service on all 25 ships. Additionally, Carnival has forged partnerships with various internet providers to equip its ships with multi-provider functionality, ensuring guests have access to the most robust and reliable service while on board.

Carnival Jubilee is poised for homeporting in Galveston Texas USA (starting December 23rd) for 7-day Western Caribbean itineraries featuring popular destinations such as Cozumel, Costa Maya in Mexico, and Mahogany Bay in Honduras (Roatan).
