HAL-Holland America's cruise ship Westerdam, carrying 2000+ tourists and 781 crew, predominantly from the Netherlands, docked at Tien Sa Port in Da Nang (Vietnam) on Tuesday, January 2.

Notably, it is the first international voyage to visit the city in the New Year, with a diverse mix of passengers from the UK, France, Italy, Denmark, Hungary, Australia, Canada, the US, and Japan.

Upon arrival, the tourists received flowers and gifts and enjoyed lion dance performances. Their itinerary in Da Nang included visits to tourist destinations such as Ngu Hanh Son Mountain, Linh Ung Pagoda, and the Cham Sculpture Museum.

In 2022, Da Nang City welcomed 22 international cruise vessels with ~18000 passengers, and this year anticipates hosting 45 more ships carrying 40,000+ tourists.
