Viking has announced 3 groundbreaking China itineraries for international travelers in 2024, marking a significant move in the maritime industry.

Spanning 10 to 20 days, these unique voyages offer a domestic exploration of China's coast, reaching ports exclusively accessible to Viking. Operating between September and November, the voyages will be conducted on the Viking Yi Dun, formerly known as the Viking Sun.

Notably, the Chinese-flagged Viking Yi Dun is the company's inaugural vessel exclusively dedicated to the foreign market, focusing on domestic sailings within China.

The 10-day China Discovery itinerary commences from Shanghai to Hong Kong, featuring calls at Zhoushan, Dongtou, Pingtan, Xiamen, and Shenzhen, with prices starting at GBP 4,590.

The 15-day Classic China & the Coast voyage, departing from Beijing to Hong Kong, includes the same ports as the shorter itinerary, along with stops at Xian. This extended journey provides opportunities to visit iconic sites such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and the Terra Cotta Warriors, with a lead-in price of GBP 6,990.

For those seeking an even more immersive experience, the 20-day Wonders of China roundtrip sailing from Beijing encompasses all the ports in the preceding itineraries, adding Chengdu and Lhasa to the list. Prices for this comprehensive exploration start at GBP 9,790.
