Gwen Stefani honored as Godmother for CCL's newest ship Carnival Jubilee in Galveston event

CCL-Carnival Cruise Line made public its selection of global music luminary Gwen Stefani as the esteemed godmother for Carnival's newest flagship, Carnival Jubilee. The official naming ceremony and festivities are slated to take place in Port Galveston Texas USA, on Saturday, February 24th.

A distinguished three-time GRAMMY Award recipient, Gwen Stefani has garnered international acclaim as a prolific songwriter, dynamic performer, and the iconic frontwoman of No Doubt, in addition to achieving considerable success as a multi-platinum solo artist. Stefani's influential presence extends beyond music, as she is widely recognized as a trend-setting figure in both music and fashion spheres, amassing an impressive array of accolades, including four MTV Video Music Awards, two Billboard Awards, an American Music Award, and a Brit Award. With global sales exceeding 60 million units, Stefani's indelible mark on the entertainment industry is undeniable. Furthermore, she has recently resumed her role as a coach for the acclaimed NBC series The Voice, marking her seventh season on the Emmy-winning show.

Carnival Jubilee commenced operations on December 23, 2023, and is permanently stationed at the Port of Galveston as part of her year-round itinerary. As the third vessel in CCL's Excel class, Carnival Jubilee showcases liquefied natural gas/LNG technology and has a capacity to accommodate 6,500 guests and 1,750 crew members.

The exclusive naming ceremony will be held onboard the ship and is by invitation only. A segment of the ceremony will be broadcast live on CCL's Facebook page, commencing at 3:30 CST on February 24th.
