The UK-based company and travel brand Virgin Voyages is set to introduce an unprecedented level of connectivity for its passengers with the deployment of SES Cruise mPOWERED+Starlink PRO Internet service fleetwide. This initiative marks the company as the first to implement this advanced service.
By leveraging a combination of Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) and Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite coverage, the SES Cruise mPOWERED + Starlink PRO service will deliver unparalleled connectivity of up to 1.5Gbps per ship. This will enable Virgin Voyages' passengers to access exclusive onboard experiences seamlessly.
The integrated high-performance connectivity service, free from data consumption limitations, will support Virgin Voyages' upscale cruise offerings, including technologically advanced cabins, spas, designer suites, and entertainment options that demand superior connectivity.
With unlimited Wi-Fi access across multiple devices, passengers will have the capability to share their cruise experiences in real-time through social media and video calls, while indulging in the connected experiences that Virgin Voyages prides itself on delivering.
