TUI Cruises appoints environmental officer as Godmother for Mein Schiff 7

As the construction of Mein Schiff 7 nears completion at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland, TUI Cruises has disclosed insights into the vessel's eco-friendly advancements, inaugural events, and the selection of its godmother.

The naming ceremony for Schiff 7 is slated for June 22, 2024, to take place in the Bay of Kiel (Germany). TUI has appointed Fenia Kalachani, an esteemed environmental officer within the Mein Schiff fleet since 2022, as the ship's godmother. Alongside her fellow environmental officers, Kalachani oversees the implementation and adherence to all pertinent environmental regulations aboard the Mein Schiff fleet. Her designation as godmother underscores the vessel's steadfast dedication to environmental preservation and sustainable practices.

Embarking on its christening voyage on June 21st, from Kiel, Schiff 7 will embark on a cruise to nowhere - scenic cruising through the Danish South Sea, culminating in its return to Kiel on June 23rd, just in time for the renowned Kiel Week festivities. Throughout the special voyage, passengers will be treated to an array of novel amenities, including new entertainment shows, live performances by renowned artists, and an assortment of culinary and musical delights.

This inaugural voyage is designed to deliver a transcendent experience of luxury and exploration, aligning with CEO Wybcke Meier's aspiration to unveil the epitome of maritime indulgence aboard "seventh heaven at sea."
